This policy covers Factory Redux, our game for Android and iOS (and later Steam), and this website. The short version: the game collects nothing about you. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Factory Redux, the game

Your progress stays on your device. The game saves your progress (the days you have opened and your wages) and your settings (music, sound effects, vibration, and whether you have seen the tutorial) on your phone or tablet. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. There is nothing to sign in to. The game shows no ads, does not measure how you play, sends no crash reports and contains no tracking code. It does not use the internet while you play.

Vibration. On devices that support it, the game gives small taps of vibration as you play. You can turn this off in the game’s Settings. It uses no data.

Our link. The game has a link to this website. If you tap it, the site opens in a browser, and the website section below applies.

Backups. Your phone’s own backup (Google’s on Android, iCloud on iPhone and iPad) may include the game’s saved progress, depending on your settings. That backup belongs to your account with Google or Apple. We never see it.

Deleting the game deletes its saved progress. The game’s Settings also has a Reset progress button.

The app stores. Google Play and the App Store handle downloads under their own privacy policies. We receive no personal information from them about who you are.

Children. The game collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

This website

No cookies, analytics or ads. The site is plain pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising.

Hosting. The site is served through Cloudflare. Like any website, our server and Cloudflare see your IP address and the pages you ask for, and we use those technical logs only to keep the site running.

Fonts. The site’s fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google, which sees your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.

The Flash games. Our 2009–2012 Flash games play in your browser through Ruffle, a Flash player that the game pages load from unpkg.com, a public code host, which sees your IP address. Some of the games save your progress or scores in your browser’s local storage. That stays in your browser, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.

The Flash games were built with code from MochiMedia, a games network that closed in 2014. A game may still try to reach MochiMedia’s old web addresses. We do not control who runs those addresses today, and a request to them would show your IP address to whoever does.

Facebook and Twitter. Our links to them are plain links. Nothing from those sites loads until you click one.

If you email us

We use your email address and what you send only to reply to you. We never share it or add you to a mailing list, and we will delete our conversation if you ask.

Changes

If anything here changes, for example if the game adds something you can buy, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
